Descripción

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has been working closely with the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC) Ministry of Public Health to respond to the country’s 16th Ebola virus disease (EVD) outbreak, which was declared on September 4, 2025. As of October 7, 2025, there are 64 people with confirmed or probable Ebola, which includes 43 deaths. CDC will update the numbers as the outbreak continues. While the risk of imported Ebola cases in the United States is currently low, knowing how to correctly identify, test, and treat suspect Ebola patients is critical to your safety and that of your peers. During this webinar, presenters will provide an overview of EVD and the current Ebola outbreak in DRC. They will discuss patient management, infection prevention and control, and will provide an overview of the National Emerging Special Pathogens Training and Education Center (NETEC) and its role in providing training, education, and coordination regarding the specialized clinical care for Ebola patients in the United States. This webinar is presented in partnership with the CDC.
